How to Place Your Order

Please follow the following 5 steps below when you are ready to send your manuscript to Blitzprint.

1. Request a Quote

Click here to request a quote. Blitzprint will send you an estimate with a corresponding quote number. If you need your book printed fast, be sure to indicate RUSH SERVICE in the comment field of your quote form.

2. Place Your Order

  1. Contact a Blitzprint Client Support Specialist at 1-866-479-3248, or by email, to indicate you wish to place an order.
  2. Include your most recent corresponding quote number, any changes to the current quote (changes to your page count, for example), quantity, your proof requirements, and any special timelines that you require.
  3. Be prepared to advise your Client Support Specialist of any additional services that you wish to purchase.

Your Client Support Specialist will send you a preliminary confirmation email. The email will outline each aspect of your job, and will typically include two forms. One is your publishing agreement, which gives Blitzprint permission to print your book; the other is a credit card authorization form. Please review the details listed in the email carefully.

3. Review Agreement

  1. Read the publishing agreement thoroughly.
  2. Fill in, sign and date the publishing agreement.
  3. Send the agreement to your Client Support Specialist by:

4. Submit Payment

  • Credit card: We accept Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Please complete the credit card authorization form and fax or scan and email it to your Client Support Specialist.
  • Certified cheque or money order: Please send to Blitzprint by mail. If you live in the Calgary area, you’re welcome to drop your payment directly to our offices. Note that there may be delays associated with this payment method, as work will commence, and books will be shipped, only when we have received full payment.
  • Debit transaction: This method of payment is available only to those who can visit our offices in person.

All orders are prepaid unless otherwise specified, as work will commence, and books will be shipped, only when we have received your payment. (Taxes and shipping are calculated on completion of your job, and will be billed to you separately.)

5. Submit Your Book Files

  1. If Blitzprint is to format and design your book
    • One file should contain your manuscript.
    • A second file should hold all digital images for your book cover.
    • A third file should contain any digital images you wish to include inside your book.
  1. If you’re providing print-ready files
    • One file should contain your manuscript.
    • If you are submitting InDesign or Quark files, create a second folder that contains your digital images. Note: this file must be packaged according to our instructions.
    • Instructions: InDesignQuark Xpress
  2. Place all files in a zipped folder labeled with your name and book title.
  3. If your files are under 10MB in size, email your zipped file to your Client Support Specialist.
  4. For larger files you can upload your zipped files to Blitzprint (our preferred method) or you may also use our FTP site.
  5. You may also submit your files by mail. Store your electronic files on a media device clearly labeled with your name and the title of your book (we accept most media formats, such as data CDs, DVDs and USB memory sticks). Send your package to:Blitzprint Inc.
